Two storage layers
Alusio keeps traffic data in two forms with different lifespans:
- Per-visit detail — last 100 days. This is what powers Top Pages, Traffic Sources, Referring Sites, Audience, the Funnel, and Sales by Source.
- Daily summaries — kept forever. Pageviews, Visitors, Sessions, and Bounce Rate per day, never deleted.
Every range preset on the Traffic page (Today, 7d, 30d, 90d, This Month, Last Month) sits inside the 100-day window, so they all show complete data.
If you pick a range older than 100 days
The custom date picker lets you look further back. What happens:
- The KPI cards and trend chart still appear, drawn from the daily summaries.
- The detail cards (Top Pages, Traffic Sources, Referring Sites, Audience, Funnel, Sales by Source) show "Detail is only available for the last 100 days".
Those cards deliberately show a message rather than zeros. A zero would read as "nobody visited", when the truth is that the detail has been deleted.
Why the detail is deleted
Per-visit detail grows fast and contains visitor behaviour trails. Keeping it forever adds cost without matching benefit, while holding visitor data longer than necessary. The daily summary is far smaller and enough to compare this year against last year.
Cleanup runs automatically each day at around 01:30 WIB, alongside building the daily summaries.
CSV export
The Export CSV button in the filter bar downloads data for the currently selected date range, with these columns:
Date, Page, Source, Device, Country, City, Pageviews, Visitors, Sessions.
The file opens cleanly in both Excel and Google Sheets.
The export contains daily summaries, not raw per-visit rows. This is deliberate: raw rows contain session identifiers and visitor fingerprints that are useless in a spreadsheet, and exporting them would turn data we deliberately keep briefly into a file that lives forever on someone''s computer.
Who can see it
The Traffic Analytics page and its export button are available only to the Owner, Admin, and Manager roles. The Support role cannot open it.
