Excluding Your Own Visits

By default, your own visits to your site are counted. If you open your site often to check how it looks, your traffic numbers can look busier than reality, especially on sites with few visitors.

How to turn it off

Open your site once with ?alus_no_track=1 added to the address:

https://yourstore.com/?alus_no_track=1

From then on, none of your visits from that browser are counted. You do not need to repeat it each time.

How to turn it back on

Open your site with ?alus_no_track=0:

https://yourstore.com/?alus_no_track=0

Things to keep in mind

• It applies per browser and per device. If you use a laptop and a phone, do it on both. Private browsing or clearing browser data removes the setting too.
• Each team member must do it themselves in their own browser.
• It does not delete past data. Your previously recorded visits stay in the reports. This setting only applies going forward.
• It does not affect Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google Analytics if you use them. Each has its own way to exclude yourself.

If the numbers still look wrong

Before assuming a miscount, check:

• Is a team member opening the site often without excluding themselves?
• Did you just run an ad or share a link in a WhatsApp group? Check the Traffic Sources card to see where the spike came from.
• Is the selected date range the one you meant?

If it still does not add up after that, contact Alusio support with the date range and the figure you are questioning.
